We had a great day in first grade today! Mrs. Arbuckle and I are very excited for an excellent year together.
This morning we read the book, First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg. In this silly story, students learn about a teacher who is jittery before her first day teaching. The kids easily identified how the main character was feeling both before the start of the day and after. The kids could relate to her feelings! Our first bulletin board is up! Our fist day jitters before school began, and our new feelings once we were settled are outlined in our first writing piece. Come by and check it out!
