Five Senses Tasting Experiment

This fall, one of the science themes that we are exploring is the five senses.  When we travel to Moose Hill next week, the five senses will be a focus through outdoor exploration. On Wednesday after we introduced our unit, students in 1A completed a five senses tasting experiment.  Students tasted samples of salt, sugar, cinnamon, lemon, and cranberry.  The different tastes we wanted them to experience in isolation were salty, sweet, spicy, sour and tart.  Their reactions to these tastes were priceless!  Check out some of the photos from the lesson below.
