Upcoming Star of the Week: Patrick O’Neill
Math: Check your child’s folder for their unit three assessment. Today we began our fourth unit, Addition and
Subtraction Facts to 12.
Phonics: We are nearing the end of our third unit, which
focuses on digraphs. After the
assessment next week, we will begin our fourth unit which focuses on the bonus
letters spelling rule (pill, cuff, fuss) and the glued sound all.

Religion: Students are learning about Jesus and his family and how we
relate to our families, using the Holy Family.
Guided Reading: Guided reading continued this week. Every group began a new book that we will
work with again next week. Students worked to read independently, chorally, and
through page alternation in their small group. If you have questions
about what books might be appropriate for your child to read at home, please
let me know!
