Math: We continue our study of geometry.  This week we have been making new shapes with existing shapes, identifying solid figures, exploring flat surfaces and vertices, sorting solid figures, and building with solid figures.  This unit will continue through next week. Please keep up with math fact practice at home!
Below are some great online geometry resources/games:

Religion:  We just wrapped up a unit on the Apostles. We spent time exploring the members of the modern Church as well as discussing ways in which we can be followers of Jesus.

Phonics: Today in phonics we wrapped up our 11th unit, which covered the vowel consonant-e rule for reading and spelling.  We are moving to our next unit tomorrow, which will cover two-syllable words, syllable division principles, and new trick words.  This unit will span three weeks.

Science:  Students are enjoying learning about the life cycle of butterflies.  Each student’s caterpillar has moved to a chrysalis and will likely have morphed to a butterfly by Wednesday.  We look forward to our Adam’s Farm butterfly release on Friday!
