Math: We began on Monday with our next unit, Using Data to Answer Questions.  We are working to interpret and create real, picture and bar graphs as a tool to organize information. Up next will be Geometry.

Please keep up with math fact practice at home as math facts will begin again next week!

Phonics: We are continuing to explore the vowel-consonant-e syllable type.  Students should freely recognize "magic e" words in their reading and apply this spelling pattern to their writing.  This unit will continue for two weeks.

Science:  Our caterpillars arrived this week!  We will officially begin our study of the butterfly life cycle next week.  Students will watch their own caterpillar as it transitions into a butterfly later this spring.  This is an exciting time for students!  We will resume our study of pebbles, sand, and silt as well.

Religion: We enjoyed a fabulous mass today with Cardinal Sean!  We continue the study of the Pentacost.

We enjoyed many fun Earth Week events!  Below are some photos of our students working with their book buddies to create seed pods out of recycled materials.
