Turkey Projects: Turkey projects are due back at school by Friday, October 31st.

Upcoming Star of the Week:  Lily Chung

Math: We continue work in our fourth unit, Addition and Subtraction Facts to 12.  Students are using ten-frames to explain their thinking and evaluate number relationships.  Our assessment will be next Friday.  Up next is Addition Facts to 20.

Phonics:  I hope you had a chance to review your child’s recent phonic assessment focusing on digraphs.  In our new unit we are focusing on the bonus letters spelling rule (pill, cuff, fuss) and the glued sound all.  This is new material that has not been previously taught in K.

Religion: Next week students will learn about Jesus and ministry and teachings through acting out bible stories.

Science:  This week in science we used a sorting circle to sort different materials by the attributes we have been discussing for several weeks.  Up next is working with liquids!
Have a great weekend!
