Five Senses Touch Experiment

To begin our study of the five senses, today we read the book My Five Senses by Aliki.  After this we focused our work on the sense of touch.  Students felt eight different materials hidden in paper bags and were asked to record what they believed the object might be and how the object felt to the touch.  Students quickly realized that relying on the sense of touch alone makes things more difficult!  After the students felt all of the materials, the objects were revealed at the end.  There were lots of surprises!
